This is folk Art from Oaxaca, Mexico. There are three villages, high in the mountains, where this art form provides a significant source of economic activity for the population. Hand carved from copal wood, hand painted, and then signed by the Artist, these whimsical animals are sure to please. Shown below are the finest pieces that we have in the Gallery.
